FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I book an appointment?

Simply contact me to get started! I'll send you a new client intake form to collect some information about you and your dog, along with deposit instructions. Once your deposit is received, your appointment will be confirmed and I'll send you my address.

When it's time for your appointment, I'll meet you outside and bring your dog into my home grooming studio. I'll send you an estimated pickup time, followed by another text about 20 minutes before your dog is ready.

Where are you located?

Hanna's Pup Cuts is a home-based grooming studio located in Chatsworth, CA, proudly serving dogs throughout the San Fernando Valley and surrounding Los Angeles communities. The exact address and arrival instructions will be provided once your appointment is confirmed.

How should I prepare my dog for their appointment?

Please make sure your dog has had a chance to potty before arriving for their appointment. New clients must provide proof of a current rabies vaccination. If your pup has any medical conditions, behavioral concerns, or specific grooming requests, please let me know beforehand so I can tailor their grooming experience to their needs.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A $40 non-refundable deposit is required for all new client appointments to reserve your appointment.

Deposits may be transferred to a future appointment with at least 48 hours' notice.

How much do your services cost?

Every dog is unique, so pricing is based on factors such as breed, size, coat condition, temperament, age, and the services requested.

Please contact me for a personalized quote.

What vaccinations are required?

A current rabies vaccination is required for all dogs.

If your dog has recently received their rabies vaccination, please wait 24 hours before their grooming appointment

Can I stay and watch my dog during the groom?

For everyone's safety, I don't allow owners or children to remain during the grooming appointment.

Many dogs become more excited or anxious when they see their owner, which can make grooming more difficult and increase the risk of injury while working with grooming equipment. This policy helps create a calmer, safer experience for your dog.

How long does grooming usually take?

Grooming time varies depending on your dog's size, coat condition, behavior, and the services being performed.

I'll provide an estimated pickup time at drop-off and send another text about 20 minutes before your dog is ready.

What if I'm late picking up my dog?

Because Hanna's Pup Cuts is a one-on-one grooming studio, timely pickup helps keep appointments running smoothly and maintains a calm environment for every dog.

If you're unable to arrive around the scheduled pickup time, please let me know as soon as possible. Extended stays may be subject to an additional fee.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours' notice may forfeit their deposit.

What if my dog is matted?

Your dog's comfort and safety always come first. If matting is severe, a shorter haircut may be the safest and most humane option.

I'll always discuss the best approach with you whenever possible before grooming begins.

Do you groom puppies?

Yes! Early grooming experiences help puppies become comfortable with the grooming process.

Puppies are introduced to grooming at their own pace with lots of patience and positive encouragement.

My dog gets nervous. Can you still groom them?

Absolutely. Every appointment is one-on-one, allowing me to work at your dog's pace in a calm, quiet environment.

My goal is to make grooming as positive and low-stress as possible while keeping your dog safe and comfortable.

If at any point I feel the groom cannot be completed safely due to excessive fear, stress, or aggression, I may need to stop the appointment. Your dog's safety, and mine, always comes first, and I'm happy to recommend alternative options when appropriate.

Do you offer house call grooming?
